Each knife roll is handcrafted with exceptional care. You can see the fine craftsmanship in our product images—especially the hand-folded edge finishing, which is a visual and tactile highlight.
We use 100% Italian leather from trusted tanneries. The waxed surface feels natural to the touch and retains the hide’s unique character.

Our Magnetic Knife Rolls
We invested significant development effort into our magnetic knife rolls—and for good reason. Unlike our classic model with individual slots, the magnetic version allows you to remove your knives easily by the handle. Without fixed pockets, it accommodates knives of varying widths and handle lengths with ease.
Visually, it's a standout. When unrolled, the knives are beautifully presented against the soft suede backing—an elegant and practical solution for chefs who value both function and form.
"Do my knives stay securely in place?"
A fair question—especially since many of our customers own exclusive knives from leading manufacturers. We use high-strength neodymium magnets, specifically chosen to withstand the rigours of transport. The design has been thoroughly tested, and to date, we’ve had no reports of knives coming loose.
Our magnetic knife rolls are also suitable for Damascus steel knives.

Our knife rolls were developed in close collaboration with experienced chefs. A chef’s knife is their most important tool—and at Rohleder, our goal was to create a case that offers maximum protection without compromising on usability.
During the design phase, I received valuable input from my cousin, a chef with experience in several award-winning restaurants. Thanks to that insight, the size, layout, and handling of our knife rolls are now carefully tailored to meet the practical needs of professional chefs.

Our Commitment to Quality
100% Cowhide Leather
We use only high-quality genuine leather from Italy for our knife rolls. This natural leather proudly displays its unique surface characteristics—marks that tell the story of its origin. To add water resistance while preserving its natural feel, the leather is finished with a protective wax coating.
Handmade
Our knife rolls are made entirely in Austria. The leather is carefully inspected and cut locally, and each piece is stitched by skilled artisans using traditional techniques. You can see the robust construction and attention to detail in the stitching shown in our product images.
Suede Lining
We make no compromises when it comes to quality. Unlike most leather knife rolls, we reinforce the interior with suede. This not only enhances the visual appeal but also adds structure and durability to the roll.
